Board of Deacons
The Board of Deacons are the organizers of ongoing church activities. Below is a gallery of our current Board of Deacons and on Sunday morning they can be identified by their name tags. If you have any questions please feel free to approach them. If you are new to our church service, you may be approached by a deacon to welcome you to our service and to invite you to our coffee hour after church. They can also direct you to restrooms and the location of our elevator that can take you to other areas of the church.
- The Deacons assist the Pastor in the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper, the reception of new members during the designated service, in the care and visitation of members of the congregation and in the oversight of the spiritual life of the Church.
- The Deacons have charge of the supply of the pulpit during the absence or disability of the Pastor or during any interim pastorates.
- The Board makes recommendations to the Council for approval of an interim pastor when needed.
- The Board may appoint persons or subcommittees as required to assist in the worship life of the Church, such as ushers, greeters, acolytes, flowers, etc.
- The Board shall review the active and inactive membership lists of the Church annually and maintain an active register of members.
