The Prospect Congregational Church is a leader in the struggle to help the poor, the hungry and the homeless, through its participation in Greater Waterbury Interfaith Ministries, better known as GWIM.
GWIM serves through the programs that it administers. These programs are the Soup Kitchen, Food Bank and the Resource Center.
The Soup Kitchen provides more than just food. It offers guidance in assisting families with finding apartments, providing baby formula, blankets and their first outfit for going home. Six days a week it provides a nutritious meal to those in need. The soup kitchen has recently relocated to 770 East Main St., Waterbury, CT.
